While chatting in the paddock prior to the race, Tony confided in me that he didn’t think his horse had much of a chance today. Well either did I as I had “Super Sophie” way down as the ALT 2 selection. Just to be on the safe side I put a little wager across the board and also included her on my pick 3….

Well the apprentice jockey Christian Santiago Reyes rode the perfect trip and positioned “Super Sophie” to mow down the favorite down the stretch which is exactly what she did to an impressive 3 1/2 length victory!!! We actually went back up to the Turf Club not thinking she was going to win and then had to scramble back down to the winners circle!!! I hope to have the photo posted as soon as I get it……. what a great experience!!! Thanks Tony and congratulations!!!

On just the second day at Saratoga, when the first few races didn’t go our way, things finally smoothed out and the late pick 4 hits for $1,125.00… Woo -Hoo (in a Homer Simpson voice)!!!  With using the top 4 selections on Nick’sPicks a $256.00 ticket paid a nice return of $1,125.00
